When I was in the 6th grade at Rochelle we noticed everyone was gathering around the flag pole in the school yard and looking up.
Someone was climbing the flag pole and he alsmost made it to the top. It turned out to be HUEY SELLERS.
The Principle of the school was not very happy about it.
Huey Sellers Passed away two years ago. His older brother J.B.lives in Florida.
Gloria and Carolin live in Rayville. I lived across the street from them at Rochelle when I three or four years old. I went to the fourth grade at Rochelle then finished at Georgetown.
Hornet Dunn Told us where the flag pole had been cut down. Dougles Evans ,Joe May and I put I put the
flagpole down in the cut off pipe that was the original flag pole.

My Dad was born in 1928 and was raised in Rochelle along with his 3 brothers and 3 sisters. His dads name was William Bruce and his mother Helen. I have enjoyed reading the entries on this site and seeing the old photos. I was to young to ever meet my grand parents. They were buried nearby in the cemetary at Georgetown.
